National Young Leaders Day
Five Year 11 leaders had a wonderful opportunity to attend this year’s National Young Leaders Day. Serena, Evana, Taniahka , Olivia and Alyssa heard from inspiring people such as Nick Hudson (Founder of “The Push Up Challenge), Jacqui Bell (Ultra Marathon competitor) and Catherine Lagaʻaia (Moana). They listened to stories of leadership and gained ideas on how to implement strategies to enhance their leadership skills.

Easter Sunday
Today we celebrate Easter Sunday, the most joyful day in the Christian calendar. After the sorrow of Good Friday, we rejoice in the Resurrection of Jesus, who conquered sin and death and brought new life and hope to the world.
Easter reminds us that God’s love is stronger than darkness and that new life is always possible. As a Cerdon community, we celebrate the gift of hope, renewal, and the promise of everlasting life.
May the joy of the Risen Christ fill our hearts and inspire us to live with faith, kindness, and love for one another.

Good Friday
Today our Cerdon community pauses to remember Good Friday, the day Jesus gave his life on the Cross out of love for the world.
Good Friday invites us to reflect on the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the power of selfless love. Through his suffering and death, Jesus showed us what it truly means to forgive, to serve others, and to love without limits.
We remember that even in the darkness of the Cross, hope remains, because God’s love is stronger than sin and death.
May this sacred day encourage us to live with compassion, kindness, and faith as we journey toward the hope of Easter.

It's time for our students to step back from the rhythm of school life and reconnect with family and friends. Holy Thursday
Today we mark Holy Thursday, the beginning of the Sacred Triduum and a very special moment in Holy Week.
On this night, Jesus gathered with his disciples for the Last Supper, where he gave us the gift of the Eucharist and showed us the meaning of true service by washing the feet of his friends. Through these actions, Jesus taught us to love one another with humility, compassion, and generosity.
As a Cerdon community, we are reminded that we are called to follow Christ’s example by serving others and sharing God’s love in our daily lives.
May this sacred day inspire us to live with gratitude, faith, and a spirit of service.

Visit from UND
As part of our ongoing commitment to preparing students to make choices about post-school life, our senior students were visited by representatives from The University of Notre Dame. There were plenty of great questions raised. It was a very popular event in which students learnt more about their direct application process and the wide array of degrees offered at the university.
