Mission Statement
“To challenge the individual to achieve, and to act with purpose and character.”
Central to the very heart and core of A.B. Paterson College is the aim of developing young men and women of character – leaders now and for the future. Our Mission underpins all that we do at A.B. Paterson College. Whether it be in our challenging and dynamic academic program, the sporting arena, or within the Arts, our students develop the intellectual character to become passionate about the ongoing pursuit of learning; they develop the skills and confidence to succeed in an increasingly complex world; and become committed to a positive future for the good of all, through leadership development, service and active participation in their communities.
Early Learning
Early Learning at A.B. Paterson College is where we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Our Early Learning Centres, designed for children from 2 years - 5 years old, focuses on nurturing young minds through a balanced approach to academics and activities.
Junior School
The Junior School at A.B. Paterson College is a place where children feel supported and inspired and where learning is brought to life through meaningful connections, passionate teaching and a deep commitment to each child’s growth.
Secondary School
In the Secondary School at A.B. Paterson College, students are guided through their adolescent years in a caring and respectful environment where academic growth is nurtured alongside personal development, and every learner is encouraged to strive for excellence while discovering their unique strengths and passions.

Diverse Opportunities
Co-curricular life at A.B. Paterson College offers students rich opportunities to explore their passions. Whether through the transformative power of the Arts, the challenge and camaraderie of sport, or the stimulation of academic and digital enrichment programs, these programs foster creativity, confidence and a strong sense of community.
The Arts
The Arts Faculty provides a diverse range of co-curricular opportunities available to all students. Students can choose to be involved in activities ranging from Choirs, Bands, Dance Troupes, Youth Theatre, Musicals and Creative Crew. All of our programs allow students an outlet for artistic expression, whilst fostering creativity, wellbeing and teamwork.
Sport
A.B. Paterson College runs a comprehensive sports program that is designed to cater to the needs of every student, regardless of age or ability. Sports and Physical Activity are integral to the development of all young people, as they assist with learning key traits such as leadership, resilience, self-confidence, and self-discipline.
Academic Enrichment
The Academic Enrichment component of the Co-Curricular Programs is designed to promote lifelong learning outside the classroom. The programs offer opportunities that enhance and develop students academically, cognitively and socially.
Technologies Program
The College’s Technologies co-curricular program offers students hands-on, future-focused experiences in Esports, robotics, coding and digital innovation, empowering them to develop problem-solving skills, creativity and digital confidence in engaging and supportive environments.
