More than 5,500 babies are born each year at Tisch Hospital. We are certified by The Joint Commission for excellence in advanced perinatal care, and have earned the Baby-Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA in recognition of our care and support for people who breastfeed and their babies.
Opened in 1963 as University Hospital, our facility was renamed Tisch Hospital in 1989 in recognition of two prominent and generous benefactors—brothers Laurence A. and Preston Robert Tisch.
