Welcome to Wahroonga Public School
Wahroonga Public School, founded in 1944, is situated on Garigal land and acknowledges the Garingai people. It is affectionately known as 'The Bush School' due to its native Blue Gum High Forest setting and attractive grounds, both natural and built.
The school’s current enrolment is around 500 students, across 20 mainstream classes, 3 support classes, and 1 OC class.
At our school, we pride ourselves on fostering a strong learning community where students learn in an environment that truly reflects the diverse and vibrant community they live in. The school caters for all students and prides itself on a culture of inclusion and participation.
Our school is dedicated to achieving a balanced approach that equally values strong academic success and student wellbeing. We create a supportive environment where rigorous learning is paired with programs and practices that nurture students' emotional and social health. This balance ensures that students not only reach high academic standards but also develop the resilience and confidence needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
