Yuendumu School
Yuendumu School is proudly bilingual and bi-cultural with a two-way approach as our guiding principle. This means that we teach both Warlpiri and English literacy, as well as cultural knowledge and skills handed down by ancestors and in described the Australian Curriculum.

Pukurl-pukurlpa - Pride
This Warlpiri word means loving, kind, proud of; happy for, contented, friendly, peaceful, pleased.

Kuurlurla karlipa jana wangkami kuja-piya, “Pukurl-pukurlpa-jarrimi karlipa jana kurdu-kurduku kuja kalu warrki-jarrimi nurna-nyayirni.”
Yulkanjaku - Kindness
To like, love, be fond of, be pleased with, care about, cherish

Kuurlurla, kurdu-kurdu yungulu-nyanu yulkami kaninjarni manu yarlungka, yungulu wardinyilki nyinami kurdu-kurdu-kari-kirli.
Jintangka - Together as One
Habitually used to mean – together, in one group, as one.
Kuurlurla karlipa jintangka warrki-jarrimi, yapa manu kardiya, tija manu kurdu-kurdu.
