Why is Grammar the leading academic school in North Qld?
The Grammar approach to teaching and learning begins in Prep and carries throughout the Junior and Senior Schools in an integrated and co-ordinated pedagogical program. The School’s
consistently leading academic outcomes
is due to a range of factors:
The School has developed a bespoke Teaching & Learning Framework that is implemented through the School from Prep to Year 12.
Teachers are passionate, professional, and experts in their fields. They are available to students in their breaks and through the tutorial program.
Student behaviour in the classroom is paramount, meaning students receive maximum teaching and learning time in the classroom as behaviour management is minimal.
The School has cultivated a strong culture of learning and feedback, where students feel at ease to learn and develop in a safe and respectful environment.
The School has a well-developed culture of respect and manners.
Schools such as Townsville Grammar School, with academic programs that are both broad in a diverse array of curricular offerings and deep in the level of rigour in a particular discipline, have a distinct advantage and relevance in the 21st Century.
By placing our learners at the centre of our Teaching & Learning Framework, and then focusing on teaching practices, learner traits and pedagogy, we best place ourselves to remain faithful to the School’s Motto – Bonus Intra Melior Exi - Enter Good, Exit Better
