Welcome to Hellenic Academy
The Hellenic Academy is a renowned, multicultural, and co-educational senior school
founded in 2008 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Deeply rooted in the rich traditions of the Greek
Orthodox Church, our ethos nurtures a diverse community of young ladies and gentlemen
who exemplify honor, integrity, respect, and a deep compassion for others. This fosters a
vibrant, motivated, happy and varied student body.
Our outstanding team of academic and support staff follows a rigorous and diverse
curriculum aimed at inspiring young minds to reach their full potential and greatness. The
Academy is built on the principle that striving for excellence in every area is a fundamental
value and responsibility that our teachers instill in their students. This dedication is
consistently reflected in the remarkable accomplishments of Hellenic students in the arts,
sports, and academics year after year.
Fully accredited by Cambridge International Examinations, we provide thorough
preparation for IGCSE, AS, and A Level examinations, featuring classes with exceptional
teacher-student ratios that focus on individualized attention.
We take pride in our world-class facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art resources and
technology that empower our students to thrive. Our ethos encourages excellence in all
aspects of school life, motivating our students to set and maintain the highest standards in

It was the Greek mathematician and philosopher, Thales of Miletus, who said,
“the happy person is one who has a healthy body, a wealthy soul and a well-educated nature.”
In the thirteen years that Hellenic Academy has welcomed young men and women into our diverse, progressive, multicultural school, we are proud to have quickly and firmly established ourselves as one of the finest secondary schools in Southern Africa. But we’re first and foremost a school which cares for the welfare and happiness of every one of our 650 student family; their body, soul and nature remain our motivating concern.
