The Charterhouse is an almshouse with residents aged 60 and over, and a historic estate; our buildings dating back to medieval and Tudor times are now home to a vibrant contemporary community.

Public opening hours
The museum display, shop and Chapel are free to visit during opening hours, and visitors can book onto guided tours to see more of our historic buildings and rooms.
We are open 10.30am to 4.30pm, Tuesday – Saturday.
Two tours run daily at 11am and at 2.15pm.
