Welcome to Assumption College
Welcome to Assumption College, Warwick. As a vibrant and distinctively Catholic learning community, it can trace its origins as far back as the 1870s. Assumption College enlivens the charisms of Catherine McAuley through the Sisters of Mercy; Edmund Rice through the Christian Brothers; and Mary of the Assumption, as expressed through our interconnectedness to our Parish. The rich heritage which is provided by these charisms allows Assumption College to thrive within its motto of
“Truth and Love”

2026 has seen us welcome a new College Principal, Mr Mick Floyd. Read the introduction from Mr Floyd below.
It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that I commence as the new Principal of Assumption College, Warwick. I am honoured to join a community with such a rich tradition of faith, learning, and service, and I look forward to building on this strong foundation.
My vision for Assumption College is centred on three key pillars:
Faith and Values at the Heart of Learning
Our Catholic identity is the cornerstone of everything we do. I am committed to fostering an environment where our Gospel values of generosity, compassion, wisdom and justice guide our decisions, relationships, and aspirations. Together, we will ensure that every student, staff member and visitor to our college experiences a sense of belonging and purpose.
Excellence in Teaching and Learning
I believe in the transformative power of education, and recent results from graduating students show that you can achieve anything you want at ACW. My goal is to lead our College in a way that embraces innovation while honouring the practices of our expert teachers that are already having an impact for our students. We will challenge students academically and support them holistically, prioritising literacy and numeracy while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and resilience. By setting high expectations for all, we will foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning within a safe and disciplined environment.
Community and Collaboration
Schools thrive when partnerships flourish. I am looking forward to working closely with staff, students, families, the parish and the wider Warwick community to create opportunities for engagement and growth. Your insights and contributions will be invaluable as we shape the future of Assumption College Warwick together.
As we begin this journey, my commitment is to listen, learn, and lead with integrity, compassion and generosity. I am excited about the possibilities ahead and confident that, united in the College’s vision, mission and values we will achieve great things for our students and our community.
