Atlanta Speech School
To help each and every child find their voice.
The Hamm Center serves children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families, so they can develop essential language abilities and pre-literacy skills to create their own future.
Kenan Preschool serves preschoolers who are ready to form a pre-literacy foundation in a setting that is at once joyful, engaging and academic.
Stepping Stones serves children with speech and language delays so they are able to build the language abilities and pre-literacy skills needed for their academic journey beyond the Speech School.
Wardlaw School serves bright elementary-aged children with dyslexia in an academically challenging setting.
The Learning Hub (formerly, the Clinic) provides academic and therapeutic support through speech therapy, occupational therapy and tutoring services - on our campus and through telepractice.
The Rollins Center extends the science-based instruction received by each child at the Atlanta Speech School to every child with the singular purpose of breaking the cycle of illiteracy. The Rollins team does this through facilitation, professional development and coaching in regional schools and on a global scale through its free online Cox Campus.

At the Speech School, we know that reading proficiency is not enough. Only through deep reading - through which we think critically, feel empathetically and take the perspective of others - are we able to become who we are meant to be.
We know that the Hamm Center experience set the stage for our son’s future. The School is poised to deliver instruction that prioritizes student success. From 1:1 instruction with a speech therapist, to a motor room filled with equipment designed to spark whole body engagement, to Sunshine Circles that ensures every child’s voice is heard, the list goes on. This is a place where childhood is celebrated and learning runs deep. We will always love our Hammily.
We truly believe the Speech School is the greatest gift we could give our girls. The extraordinary teachers and staff in Hamm, Stepping Stones, and Wardlaw have changed the course of their lives. The smiles on their faces as they get out of the car each morning say it all. They are joyous and curious, and we look forward to continue watching them grow in Hamm and Wardlaw.
As you often told parents, our two hardest days were the ones where we came to Speech and when we left- but the leaving was by far harder! Our child is graduating this spring
cum laude
from Woodward. And next fall he’ll be going to Emory!!
We have said many times thank goodness for Speech School, and we said it again today. Thank you and the incredible staff from the bottom of our hearts.
We are so deeply grateful for Ethan's time in Kenan and are forever grateful to you all for his growth and development! We've been lucky to be part of such a loving community.
Our daughter has grown so much at the Speech School! We noticed an increase in language after her first day! Sending her here was the best thing we could have done for her. Not only has she grown academically, her confidence has soared!
