Visitor Policy
To ensure a safe and structured learning environment, Eaton follows the
DCPS Visitor Policy
.
Key Guidelines:
Classroom Access:
Parents may not walk students to their classrooms in the morning or visit during the school day without a scheduled appointment.
PK4 Exception:
Families of PK4 students may continue escorting their children to meet their classroom aides and teachers on the first floor.
Visitor Check-In:
All visitors must sign in at the security desk and report to the main office upon arrival. The office will notify the teacher of scheduled appointments.
We appreciate your support in maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.

Bullying is not tolerated at Eaton Elementary School.
Bullying has three key components--unwanted, aggressive behavior; a real or perceived power imbalance, and repetition; and the potential to be repeated over time. The combination of these three factors creates a situation that moves beyond conflict to become persistent persecution.
Bullying has become a serious issue with young people nationwide. It affects students at every level, from elementary to high school. In an effort to proactively address the issue of bullying the District of Columbia Public Schools has created a Bullying Prevention Policy. The policy lays out clearly, the definition of bullying and the steps required by schools to address it. The entire policy is available
