Step Into the Carlisle Community
At Carlisle, we celebrate our students’ successes both in and out of the classroom. Through a supportive environment and a wide range of opportunities, we nurture growth and achievement at every stage. Guided by our Portrait of a Graduate, we strive to develop young people of character, intellect, and leadership—preparing them to thrive in school, in their communities, and beyond.
Chelsey Harris earns Player of the Week
We are so proud of our very own Chelsey Harris, senior forward for the Girls' Varsity Basketball team! She was named the Martinsville Bulletin's Girls Basketball Player of the Week! Chelsey was recognized for her performance at the game against GW High School, earning a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds. She’s currently averaging 17.25 points and 11.5 rebounds per game this season. Way to go, Chelsey! We are so proud of you!
Sally Vaughn & Liza Harris - Community Service in Action
We are proud of rising 6th grader Sally Vaughn and rising 4th grader Liza Harris for raising over $6,000 for the Martinsville/Henry County SPCA through their LemonAide stand. Their hard work and generosity turned a simple idea into a powerful act of kindness. At Carlisle, one of our Portrait of a Graduate pillars is Character—and these young leaders have shown what it means to serve your community with compassion and purpose.
Abby Sullivan- Exploring the Medical Field
This summer, rising sophomore Abby Sullivan attended the Wake Forest University Summer Immersion Program to explore her passion for medicine. She gained valuable hands-on experience through brain and heart dissections, performing ultrasounds, and learning patient care skills. Abby also practiced critical medical techniques such as CPR, intubation, delivering a baby, and conducting neurological exams. We are so proud of her hard work and dedication to pursuing her interests!
Varsity Golf Team- State Champions
Carlisle is proud to celebrate our 2025 VISAA Division III Varsity Golf State Champions! This incredible victory is the result of hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Congratulations to Connor Boughton, Addison Lawrence, and Logan Williams on earning All-State honors, and to Head Coach P.C. Wells, who was named Coach of the Year for his outstanding leadership.
Destiny Johnson- National Award Winner
Congratulations to Destiny Johnson, who was named the National Society of Black Engineers’ Female Pre-College Student of the Year at the Golden Torch Awards in Chicago. This prestigious honor also includes a $1,000 scholarship. Destiny exemplifies Carlisle’s Portrait of a Graduate—showcasing character, intellect, and leadership in all she does. She plans to attend the University of Virginia, where she is considering a major in Neuroscience or Engineering. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and excited to see all that she achieves in the future!
We have been a part of the Carlisle family since 2013. The boys and I visited for a tour of the school that year, and they have been there ever since. The boys were in Pre-K3 then and are currently 7th graders. Our love for the school has continued to grow every year. The curriculum supersedes any other in the area and is phenomenal. Faculty and staff are hands-on, readily available, and phenomenal. Carlisle School is just simply phenomenal. If you are interested in a stellar education, along with a caring environment, then Carlisle is the place for you and your family.
Tiffany Hairston
Mom to Kendrick and Karter
I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Carlisle school through two different perspectives, one as a faculty member and more recently as a parent. I have come to think less of it as a job and more as an intellectual opportunity. It has provided me with a great educational foundation that I want for my own children. In fact, we enrolled our daughter in the preschool program this year and it was a decision that has validated our feelings about the Carlisle Experience.
Juliana Carter
Mom to Maryn
We have been very pleased with Carlisle’s methods of teaching. We are truly delighted with how our children are embraced, nurtured, and supported by the staff and teachers. Our children are excited to go to school and learn new things each day.
