Fenella Woolgar
Class of 1987
Fenella is an award-winning actor and artist. She trained at RADA and has worked across film, television, radio, and theatre. She starred in
Bright Young Things
and won
Sunday Times Stage Performance of the Year
for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in
Handbagged
. A regular on
BBC Radio 4
, she has also appeared on the BBC, ITV, and international networks. In 2019, she won
Sky Arts Celebrity Portrait Artist of the Year

Emily Craig
Class of 2011
Emily is an Olympic Champion, winning a gold medal in the Women’s Lightweight Double Sculls at the Paris 2024 Olympics alongside her rowing partner, Imogen Grant. We were thrilled to welcome Emily back to school to officially open our new Wellbeing Centre in September 2024.
Camilla Le May
Class of 1992
Camilla is an award-winning Sculptor, specialising in wildlife. Her work has been exhibited by established galleries since 2000 and bought by private collectors worldwide. She has won awards from the British Sporting Art Trust, the Society of Wildlife Artists and was recently shortlisted for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year.
Giovanna Forte
Class of 1981
Giovanna is a Medtech entrepreneur who co-founded Forte Medical with her brother Dr Vincent Forte, retired NHS GP. Their ambition was to bring Vincent’s innovation Peezy Midstream to clinical settings the world over, transforming an overlooked but common routine diagnostic process whilst improving infection control, patient safety and introducing cost-savings. All of this whilst helping to fight the growing crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Catherine Whitlock
Class of 1983
Catherine is a science writer specialising in medical research, science, and nature. After earning a PhD in Immunology, she moved from research to writing and has authored books including

and
10 Women Who Changed Science and the World
. At Mayfield, she studied Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at A Level. She fondly remembers lifelong friendships and singing in
Schola
, a passion she continues today.
Harriet Minter
Class of 2000
Harriet is a journalist and broadcaster, specialising in female leadership. Harriet founded and edited the Guardian's Women in Leadership section, which focuses on women in the workplace, and now writes for them on Women in Tech. She is also a columnist for Psychologies magazine and hosts The Badass Women's Hour on TalkRadio. She has also written for publications including The Times, Huffington Post, and The Pool.
Chelsea Henshaw
Class of 2018
Chelsea is currently in her second year of foundation training with the NHS, working at King’s College London and based at the Princess Royal University Hospital. She is especially interested in Paediatrics after a NICU placement but is exploring other specialities. At Mayfield, she studied Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Latin at A Level. As Head Girl, she mentored younger students, played sports, sang in
Schola Cantorum
, and served at Mass. She loved the variety of opportunities at Mayfield, with a highlight being her lead role in
Animal Farm
, which boosted her confidence in public speaking and performance.
