I’m so fortunate to have attended a school that embraces and celebrates the diversity of its student body. Bishop Dunne’s familial atmosphere, combined with the very diverse student population, makes it a safe place for students to express ideas and ask questions without fear of judgment, which allows students of all demographics to grow, develop and learn together. I found myself extremely well-prepared for college and arrived on campus with the ability to think critically and clearly present my thoughts (both orally and written). Additionally, I gained valuable time-management and public speaking skills from Bishop Dunne’s block scheduling and seminar style classes; they were the perfect training for my introduction to college life. And, most importantly, my combined dual credit and AP credits allowed me to enter college with over 50 credits!

When you enroll at Bishop Dunne you immediately become a part of a family and community that will never be forgotten. Many large schools simply do not have share this characteristic. Coming from a big school like Cedar Hill High School, I didn't often get the chance to experience one-on-one teaching. But after transferring to Bishop Dunne, I quickly realized this is where I want to be.
Every student should be given the chance to learn in whatever way they find effective. The teachers and staff truly care about their students and make sure they are in good shape and will pass their courses. The moment I stepped on campus my first day, I knew that Bishop Dunne was a place where I would thrive.

I grew up in Oak Cliff in the Catholic school system. Going from John XXIII to Bishop Dunne was a no-brainer. Our children are also alumni, and our family has reaped the benefits of the whole Bishop Dunne experience, not just the education. The diversity of the school, its passion for our community, not to mention the location, make Bishop Dunne unique. As the competition for private, or quasi-private K-12 education has increased in Oak Cliff over the years, Bishop Dunne has endured as a proven educational experience above the rest.

The best part of Bishop Dunne, and something you cannot find anywhere else, is the community. I've been part of this community for five years now and I still, and will forever, love the family we are here. Whether it be with the students, teachers, parents, alumni, we are all one.
I chose Bishop Dunne because my parents and I agreed we wanted to two things for middle and high school. One, a great school with a college preparatory education and two, a loving community where I can thrive. From the moment I stepped onto the Bishop Dunne campus, I saw both of these attributes, and continue seeing them each day. Choosing Bishop Dunne remains one of the best decisions I have ever made.
