Welcome to Vyners School
Vyners is an outstanding, co-educational, fully comprehensive and inclusive secondary school that has served the local community since it first opened its doors to children in 1959. Our aim at Vyners is simple - to be a great school where students have access to the best education possible.
Vyners is a positive and happy place to be. Students are incredibly well-mannered, look after one another and enjoy being here. They thrive both in and out of the classroom and as a result, leave as well-rounded individuals with the skills and abilities to take on the challenges of the twenty-first century.
We achieve this by providing outstanding learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom, as well as ensuring that each child has access to excellent pastoral care. We believe that every child can prosper in life if challenged and supported appropriately. A strong academic curriculum supported by outstanding personal development and co-curricular provision, helps Vyners students develop as individuals with the necessary skills to be successful in adult life.

Endeavour
Learning by its very nature is hard and we want to encourage students who are resilient, not afraid to take calculated risks and make mistakes. We want them to stretch themselves as we know that the most valuable learning takes place outside their comfort zone. There is no such thing as ‘I can’t do it’, only ‘I can’t do it yet’. This Growth Mindset is nurtured by staff and praised where it is demonstrated.
