What we do - Homeground | Auckland City Mission
HomeGround, a place of transformation
HomeGround is the Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai purpose-built central city hub - a place of transformation, healing, and community for people in greatest need, while welcoming all Aucklanders through its doors.
It brings together permanent housing, expanded health and social services, a state-of-the-art addiction withdrawal centre, and the country’s largest low-cost health service - Calder Health Centre. It’s also home to Haeata, a community dining room open seven days a week, an onsite pharmacy, and a programme of activities and creative spaces.
HomeGround is more than a building. It’s a living expression of what’s possible when compassion, dignity, and community come together under one roof.
Step inside, and you’ll find a place built on care - where every service, meal, and conversation helps people move toward stability, connection, and hope.
