Welcome to Merici
Merici is a Catholic College for young women in Years 7 to 12, which was established in 1959. We are an authorised IB World School for the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students. We provide an engaging educational environment, designed to challenge our students to take risks within and beyond the classroom to achieve individual academic excellence. Merici College is a welcoming community, where authentic relationships are nurtured, and where dignity and integrity are affirmed. We seek to foster within our students a life-long love of learning, where each young woman is given the opportunity to grow spiritually and intellectually in order to make a positive contribution to society.

SchoolTV is back!
As a part of our Parents in Partnership Program, our school has partnered with SchoolTV – a trusted resource that prioritises student mental health and wellbeing. Because parenting doesn’t come with instructions, SchoolTV is now accessible through our school to help you navigate some of the more complex issues young people face.
It provides practical strategies and trusted guidance to support your child. Parenting is a learning journey, and with a little help from SchoolTV, you can engage in meaningful conversations with your child on topics that may sometimes feel awkward or difficult to address. SchoolTV covers a vast range of topics, each featuring interviews with leading global experts and a carefully curated selection of resources from key organisations.
We encourage you to explore and utilise this platform, as it serves as a valuable tool in building relationships, fostering connections, and deepening understanding. By breaking down barriers, it helps pave the way towards better mental health and wellbeing for young people.

2026 School Dates
Term 1 commences on Monday 2 February 2026 for Years 7, 11 and 12 students. We will also welcome new students to the College on this day. Years 8, 9 and 10 students commence on Tuesday 3 February.
