BRIEF PROFILE BACKGROUND
The idea of All Saints University Lango was first unveiled in 1963 by the Diocese of Lango of the Protestant Church of Uganda. The university itself did not come into being until 2008 when it received its license. In 2009 it commenced classes with a student intake of just under 90 undergraduates. In May of the following year its academic programs were accredited by the National Council for Higher Education. Today, with over 4 thousand students attending lectures in 3 faculties, All Saints University Lango is poised for a new beginning. It has just moved its entire operations and student body to the scenic and newly acquired Cannon Lawrence Campus near Lira City.
The first cohort of students was admitted in 2009/2010 Academic year after its programmes were accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). Currently, All Saints University Lango offers programmes relevant to the needs of society in the fields of Agriculture, Medical Record and Health Informatics, Information and Communication Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovations, Business and Management, Education, Social Sciences, Theology and Community Development as well as Journalism and Mass Communication.
