Bishop Noll Drama is proud to present the 2012 revival of "Godspell." Junior Jhoan P. stars as Jesus. His role as an actor is one of many he plays at Bishop Noll. BNI names 2026 Graduates with Distinction 3/2/2026 Bishop Noll Institute has announced its Graduates with Distinction for the class of 2026. These top academic seniors all earned a 4.0 or above GPA. These grades also determine valedictorian and salutatorian. Noah Hahn, of Highland, was named valedictorian. Hahn, a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace, attended Montessori Children’s Schoolhouse. Sara Seleb, of Hammond, was named salutatorian. She attended and is a parishioner of St. John Bosco. Noll Senior Awarded Full Scholarship to Top-Tier College 1/21/2026 The next adventure for Bishop Noll Institute senior Kimberly Padilla will take her to the East Coast, fulfilling a new dream for herself and her family. Alumna-turned-teacher bids farewell to classroom 6/12/2025 After a remarkable career, a familiar face at Bishop Noll Institute, Mrs. Rosalie (Hauter) Schmidt has retired. A 1970 alumna of Bishop Noll, Schmidt’s journey into education began not in a classroom, but within her own busy childhood home. “I’m the oldest of a large family,” she said. “I grew up helping my siblings to walk, tie their shoes, ride a bike, and learn multiplication. I watched them learn, and that everyone does not learn the same way. That has been a valuable lesson.” Noll restructures advancement, business roles 6/10/2025 As part of Bishop Noll Institute’s commitment to continuous improvement, three appointments have been made to fortify the school’s already solid financial standing, President Paul Mullaney announced. Bishop Noll Bids Farewell to Teacher Julie Niu After 17 Years 6/3/2025 After 17 years of fostering a love for Mandarin Chinese and its rich culture, Bishop Noll Institute teacher Julie Niu is set to retire in June. Niu’s tenure at Bishop Noll has been marked by the advancement of Chinese language education as the school’s Chinese program provided students with new opportunities in a global market. Niu said she is proud of the success of her students in regional and national competitions. Senior Brings Jo March to Life in 'Little Women' Production 4/7/2025 Bishop Noll Institute senior Maisie Wragg, a standout both in the classroom and on stage, is set to bring the beloved character of Jo March vibrantly to life in the school's upcoming production of “Little Women.” “The thing I find most compelling about Jo is her willingness to be unapologetically herself,” Wragg said. “She is expressive and dramatic, and she doesn’t worry if others will judge her for that. Storytelling brings her joy, and she embraces it freely.” “Little Women” is based on the original book by Louisa May Alcott. Bishop Noll will stage the musical April 10-13. This determination, she said, stems from a desire to finish strong academically while maintaining her deep faith and pursuing personal passions. “My mom always told me to finish what I started, but to also maintain the balance between my effort in my work, faith and passions in life," Ballesteros, of East Chicago and a parishioner of St. Casimir, said. "This has given me the confidence and determination to succeed in school.” Experienced football leader to take helm of Bishop Noll program 3/4/2025 Rick Good, a proven leader with a history of building prep football program success, has been hired as Bishop Noll Institute’s head football coach and assistant athletic director, Principal Lorenza Jara Pastrick '01 announced today. Getting Fired Up: Mrs. Gwiaza to Explore Ceramics and Art in Italy 1/21/2025 Congratulations to Jennifer Gwiazda, an art teacher at Bishop Noll Institute, who has been selected for the prestigious 2025 Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program. This program provides grants to educators to support personal and professional renewal projects. Gwiazda will use her fellowship to pursue a deeply personal project that combines her passion for art and travel. Her project will allow her to purchase a kiln for her home and visit Italy to further hone her skills. There she will spend a week at a ceramics retreat in Sicily and another week in Rome, immersing herself in architecture, art, and culture by visiting iconic sites like the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and more. “I hope my experiences will inspire my students not only to deepen their understanding of ceramics and art but also to realize that if they are passionate about something, it’s worth dedicating themselves to achieve it, no matter how big or ambitious their dreams may be,” Gwiazda said.
