Disability Accommodations
We Want You To Succeed
Our Disability Services Accommodations (DSA) team is here to provide resources, support, and equal access to students with disabilities to assist in their academic learning and success. To support student success, the DSA Office works proactively with students who have a documented disability to identify reasonable, appropriate accommodations in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and other applicable laws. The DSA Office also works with university faculty and partners to foster a welcoming, engaging, and respectful community for all.
Once approved for accommodations, the DSA team is available to assist students in helping to determine when and how to use their accommodations. Students are also paired with a senior academic advisor to help them maximize their online learning experience and guide them in meeting their educational goals.

to discuss options. The DSA review process can take several weeks, so students should plan to submit their request as soon as they are admitted and before registering for courses. If a current student becomes disabled and needs services, they should contact the team as soon as possible. Students can also review additional information regarding accommodation requests and documentation requirements within the

section of the Student Handbook.

Submit Documentation
To initiate the DSA review process, students first need to upload documentation showing a specific disability diagnosis through our
Secure Document Upload Portal
.

Provide Impact
Students should be prepared to share how their disability impacts their experience in the online learning environment—for example, any challenges that makes coursework more difficult.

Request Accommodations
Lastly, students should outline what accommodations will help them overcome difficulties and reach their academic goals and why.
Once all requested information has been received, the DSA team will follow up with the student via email to share what reasonable accommodations can be offered. Once the student has confirmed the proposed accommodations, the team will proceed with finalizing the DSA review process. The student will then be provided with an official DSA Award Letter outlining the accommodations they have been approved to receive.
