Admissions Process

Applicants for Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and Kindergarten Program*

The following information is required to be considered for admission:

Complete the Early Childhood Teacher Recommendation Form (to be completed by your child's teacher)

Pre-K and K screening at SRDS, which will be held on Saturday, January 10
* Pre-K 3 candidates should be age 3 by October 15th of entry year
* Pre-K 4 candidates should be age 4 by October 15th of entry year
*Kindergarten candidates should be age 5 by October 15th of entry year

Transcript from past two years and all standardized testing
Student Record Release Form
All candidates are required to complete a class visit and assessment (the Kindergarten screening will be held on Saturday, January 11).
Lower school visit days
run 8:30am-12:30pm and are offered:
Monday, November 10th
Monday, December 15th
Assessments will be scheduled prior to the January 20th deadline.  Contact Kris Sweeny (

Upper School visit day (students applying to Grades 9-12):
Early Decision Applicants - Monday, October 13
Regular Decision Applicants - Wednesday, December 10

OPTIONAL:  Register for ISEE, SSAT or HSPT if applying for Grades 6-12.  Scores should be sent directly to SRDS.
