About the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD)
CADD is nationally recognized for having one of the most comprehensive continua of care in the country for children to young adults with autism spectrum disorder/developmental disability who are struggling with their mental health. Across CADD services, Bradley Hospital’s team of experts treat hundreds of patients with co-occurring mental health challenges, often working with an individual and their family for years.
Our model of care emphasizes family involvement and helping individuals remain connected to their communities by offering a variety of treatment options across hospital and community settings.

Partial hospital programs
Outpatient services at the Verrecchia Clinic
Outpatient services at Gateway Healthcare
Home-based treatment

Therapeutic education programs
The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities offers SafeQuest, a partial hospital program tailored to the needs of its patients. The after-school program provides support for children ages 10 to 17 who have autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities along with co-occurring emotional or behavioral challenges.

Partial Program
The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) Partial Program is a highly specialized day treatment program for children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 who have autism or developmental disabilities with a co-existing emotional or behavioral disorder.

Inpatient Programs
The center offers acute care service for up to 19 children and adolescents who present with serious behavioral disorders in addition to a developmental disability, such as intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder.
The
Verrecchia Clinic
offers individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting to children ages 5 to 18 who have behavioral and emotional challenges and developmental disabilities.
The Clinic also offers a six-week
specialized training for familiess
and caregivers of children with ASD, and a family/child group to address anxiety in children with ASD.
In addition to leading our own innovative autism research studies and clinical trials, Bradley Hospital participates in the
Rhode Island Consortium for Autism Research and Treatment (RI-CART)
, a state-wide research database initiative.
