Ten DU Faculty Listed in Stanford/Elsevier's Top 2% Scientists 2024
The University of Dhaka proudly announces that ten of its distinguished scientists, researchers, and faculty members who are currently working and associated with the university have been recognized in the latest 2024 Stanford/Elsevier's Top 2% Scientist Rankings. Additionally, the list includes several other scholars who maintain various degrees of association with the University of Dhaka.  This prestigious list highlights the remarkable contributions made by scholars worldwide, and the inclusion of these faculty members reflects the university's commitment to research excellence and academic leadership.
Among the recognized individuals are Professor Dr. Nepal Chandra Roy from the Department of Mathematics, Professor Dr. Md. Rakibul Hoque from the Department of Management Information Systems, and Professor Dr. Md. Kawser Ahmed from the Department of Oceanography. Notable faculty members also include Dr. Taslim Ur Rashid from the Department of Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Professor Dr. Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed from the Department of Geology, Professor Dr. M. Rezaul Islam from the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ferdows from the Department of Applied Mathematics, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman from the Department of Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Professor Dr. Mohammad Bellal Hossain from the Department of Population Sciences, and Dr. Shekh Md. Mahmudul Islam from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, all of whom have been acknowledged for their exceptional research output.
