GAC Literary Team wins 5th Region Title in a Row

GAC students participated in this year’s Literary competition, a Fine Arts and Academics event where students compete for Region and State titles. The events include four categories with sub-categories: Literary Interpretation (Dramatic, Humorous, Duo), Essay (Personal, Argumentative, Literary Analysis), Extemporaneous Speaking (Domestic & International), and Music (Boys Solo, Girls solo, Trio & Quartet).
This year, GAC had students participate in all categories at the Region competition, taking home the Region Title, GAC’s 5th year in a row earning this accomplishment. Madeline Austin, Lauren Edmunds, and Camari Terrelonge continued to compete in the State Competition on March 22.
Congratulations to Madeline Austin for being the State Champion for the Argumentative Essay and Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking categories. We are also excited to share that Lauren Edmunds placed 3rd in State for Personal Essay. Congratulations to this group of students!
