AICTE IDEA Lab
REVA University, Bengaluru, is proud to be one of the approved institutes under the prestigious AICTE IDEA (Idea Development Evaluation and Application) Lab initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The IDEA Lab at REVA University is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to fostering creativity, enhancing problem-solving abilities, and cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among students, researchers, and faculty—driving innovation, design excellence, and entrepreneurial growth. This initiative is part of AICTE’s nationwide effort to integrate experiential learning, rapid prototyping, and industry-aligned skill development into engineering and allied programs.
Equipped with advanced tools and technologies for digital fabrication, electronics development, 3D printing, CNC machining, and IoT-based product development, the IDEA Lab at REVA University enables:
Innovation & Design Thinking –
Cultivating the ability to identify real-world problems and create impactful solutions.
Hands-on Learning –
Providing opportunities to work with modern fabrication tools and prototyping systems.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration –
Encouraging teamwork across diverse fields of engineering, science, and design.
Entrepreneurship Development –
Supporting product ideation, business planning, and startup incubation.
The lab aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by promoting outcome-based education, experiential learning, and industry-relevant skill sets. It acts as a hub for research, product development, and technology-driven entrepreneurship within the REVA University ecosystem
