We owe our very foundation to the visionary Christian philanthropist
Charles Edward Baring Young
, whose original endowment and legacy in 1886 built Kingham Hill School. His spirit of generosity set the tone for what the school is today. Over the years, philanthropy and giving back have shaped the school’s growth and continued success, ensuring that future generations benefit from the same values that Charles Edward Baring Young instilled.
As an alumnus of Kingham Hill, you know firsthand the lasting impact that your education has on your life. By becoming a regular giver, you can play a crucial role in ensuring that future generations of pupils have the same opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
Regular contributions allow the school to provide ongoing support for initiatives such as bursaries, modernising facilities, and offering enhanced learning experiences. With your support, we can continue to build on the legacy of excellence that you were part of and help pupils realise their full potential.

Manufactured by the JD Benson clock company in 1887, our iconic Clock Tower (which sits atop the Administration Building) is in need of repair to reinstate it to its former glory.
In the early 2000s, the clock was fitted with an electronic mechanism to enable to it to run without winding, but at that time the mechanism couldn't also control the bells, so the chimes were disabled. In more recent years the clock itself has also stopped working.
Technology has improved and we are now looking to repair and reprogramme the clock so that it will be fully functional with the ability to self-wind, chime, and be programmed to allow for night silencing.
We're always looking for new ways to inspire and stretch our pupils. Our latest project is a High Ropes Facility that includes the Jacob's Ladder and Gladiator Challenge. This resource will provide our pupils with incredible opportunities to build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and push their physical and mental limits in a fun and supportive environment.
How you can help
We’re asking our school community, friends, and supporters to come together and help fund this exciting project. Every contribution, big or small, will bring us closer to reaching our goal and providing this amazing opportunity for our pupils.
What will your donation do?
Your support will directly fund the installation of the Jacob's Ladder and Gladiator Challenge. This exhilerating addition to our outdoor learning facilities will provide numerous benefits to our pupils.

encourages physical activity and outdoor learning.
