At IUJ, internships are viewed as a practical way to gain work experience and prepare for future careers. While participation is not mandatory, internships are strongly recommended for students who wish to work after graduation. IUJ also offers internship opportunities and support for students, in addition to those students arrange on their own.
For international students seeking employment in Japan, internships at Japanese companies provide valuable exposure to Japanese business culture, workplace practices, and communication with Japanese colleagues.
On-site internships are available during the summer break from July to late September, with durations ranging from 5 days to 3 months. Early preparation, including financial and visa planning, is highly recommended.
