With the expression
“All Work, No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy”
ringing in our ears, we have proceeded to address this situation to accommodate our – and Jack’s – needs…… Certainly, we DO work hard and in order to balance this, we have, over the years, learned to ‘play hard’ and come up with some very happy Social Events.
Strange to say, the Annual General Meeting has become one of these!
To many sceptics, attending the AGM is an Ordeal, an annual Grunge Ritual to be endured in the shortest time possible, with the closest Escape Route noted and monitored……. Not so ours! Most of the first hour is devoted to the Meeting itself, whilst the next 3 or 4 are spent listening to the very special
Harry Matthews Memorial Lecture
, socialising with old friends and enjoying the Cheese & Wine buffet – no wonder we can always rely on a good attendance.
