Years 5 to 8 swing into the cricket season with a mixed-team match-up

Yesterday afternoon (22/4) St Mary’s Lower School (Year 7 and 8) and St Margaret’s Year 5 and 6 pupils, came together for an afternoon of cricket in the spring sunshine.
It was wonderful to see pupils from both schools working together in mixed teams, building communication skills and confidence ahead of upcoming fixtures.
From experienced players to those playing in their first match, everyone got involved and celebrated their own progress.
There was some fantastic cricket played including strong bowling and huge strikes, with many 4s and 6s scored all supported by words of encouragement and plenty of smiles.
A wonderful afternoon of sport.
