Mentoring
Forming Young Women in Character, Confidence, and Christian Ideals
At PAREF Rosehill School for Girls, we believe that education is not just about academics—it is about forming the whole person. That’s why the
mentoring system
is a cornerstone of our approach, and a defining hallmark of a PAREF education.
Each student is assigned a mentor—a carefully chosen member of the school staff who guides her personal, academic, and spiritual growth. Mentoring takes place through regular one-on-one conversations where the mentor listens, encourages, and helps the student reflect on her choices, relationships, goals, and habits.
The mentor also partners closely with parents, ensuring a strong
home-school collaboration
that supports the child’s formation from both ends. This unity of goals between school and family strengthens a child’s self-understanding, confidence, and ability to make good decisions.
Mentors Who Lead by Example
At Rosehill, mentoring is never just about checking in. It’s about accompaniment with purpose.
Our mentors are trained not only in educational methods—but also in
formation of character and faith
. They themselves undergo
continuous personal formation
so that they can model the very virtues they seek to cultivate: integrity, responsibility, joy, perseverance, and love for the truth.
With
dedication and warmth
, they strive to know each student deeply—not just her academic strengths, but her temperament, talents, and growth areas. Mentors walk alongside their mentees as older friends, providing steady support in the midst of today’s often noisy and pressured world. Many parents find that their daughter’s mentor becomes an
ally for the whole family
—someone who sees and supports the child in ways that complement the work done at home.
“Try to be a teacher. Try to be a friend. Try to be someone who helps, by giving a Christian tone to all things.”

St. Josemaría Escrivá

A Formation That Bears Fruit
Mentoring has long been part of the PAREF system—but it is also affirmed by modern research. According to a national study by
MENTOR.org
:
Students with mentors are
more likely to do well in school
, avoid risky behaviors, and pursue higher education
They are
more resilient
,
more likely to volunteer
, and
more equipped to make thoughtful life choices
Most importantly, they feel
seen and supported
At PAREF Rosehill, mentoring helps each girl understand who she is, who she is becoming, and how she can live a meaningful, purpose-driven life. Grounded in
Christian ideals
, strengthened by
family partnership
, and nurtured with
joy and hope
, mentoring is one of the ways Rosehill helps girls
bloom in excellence and integrity—for life.
