NC Wesleyan is more than an education… it’s an experience! Your time spent at Wesleyan extends far beyond just academics- it’s also the experiences and friendships you form outside the classroom. Whether you live on campus or commute, you are part of the Bishop Family. Our lifestyle is all about getting connected and getting involved.
NCWU has 8 residence halls (one that’s pet-friendly!) and 16 townhouses. The residence life program aims to cultivate an environment that is conducive to academic success by providing an atmosphere where students will learn to respect and appreciate differences, develop and exhibit leadership skills, and contribute significantly to the wider society.

Become a Resident Advisor at NCWU!
Lead. Connect. Inspire. Make Your Mark on Campus.
Resident Advisors (RAs) are the heartbeat of our residential community. They’re student leaders who help create a safe, supportive, and exciting place to live and learn. RAs are trained to guide their peers through campus life, connect students with the Rocky Mount community, and build a positive environment where everyone can thrive.
Every traditional residence hall floor has its own RA, and our smaller halls have one RA per building. Plus, there’s always an RA on duty, each night—meaning support, guidance, and assistance are always just a door away.
Applications for the RA position typically open in early February and can be accessed through the link below, QR codes posted throughout the halls, and our Instagram page.
