Transportation Options
Transportation is available for Grades 1–12 students who wish to use it full-time, part-time, and occasionally. Options include morning, afternoon, and late activity times Monday through Friday on school days. There is no transportation during school holidays.
2025-2026 Fees
List of 3 items.
Full-Time
$4,170
Includes morning and afternoon transportation (including late activity transportation) Monday
through Friday during regular school days.
Part-Time
$2,915
Includes morning transportation only, afternoon/late activity transportation only, or a combination of both,
with no more than six one-way transports per school week.
Individual Bus Passes
$19 per ride
Bus passes can be purchased for morning, afternoon, or late activity buses for $19 per
one-way trip by students who do not regularly use LJCDS’ transportation services.
Late Activity Signup
The late activity transportation option serves every regular stop. Vehicles leave Monday–Friday at 5:45 p.m. from the Middle School parking lot pickup/drop-off zone.
Each student or parent is responsible for signing up for late activity on the
sign-up calendar between 6 a.m.–2:45 p.m. every day
that it's needed
. Requests after 2:45 p.m.
will not be accepted
due to driver scheduling constraints. In the event that a student misses the 2:45 p.m. sign-up, the student's parents/guardians will need to retrieve them from school that day.
Arrival times depend on students signing up for each stop that day. This number may fluctuate daily. If there are no students for a scheduled stop, travel times will be decreased and students will get to their stop earlier. It is illegal for drivers to use cell phones (even hands-free) unless the vehicle is pulled over and turned off. However, each driver does have a cell phone available for emergencies and for passengers to use, if they would like to inform their parents/guardians of their ETA.

Any student not met by an approved adult at their corresponding bus stop without written prior authorization will be brought back to school and placed into after-school care for pickup.
