Business, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (BSTEM)
The Division of Business-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics has the mission of preparing students with the skills necessary to function effectively and to compete globally in their fields of study while achieving excellence in undergraduate education, research, and public service.
The B-STEM Division provides students the opportunity to pursue Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering Technology (Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, and Process/ Petroleum Technology).
Students pursuing these degrees are prepared for immediate entry into the workforce with a variety of employment options available to program completers.
Students may also pursue Associate General Studies degrees with concentrations in Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Hospitality, Mathematics, and Pre-Engineering. The General Studies programs are designed for students who plan to further their educational careers at four-year institutions.
The B-STEM Division provides students the opportunity to pursue a Technical Diploma in Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance which can equip program completers with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a career in the Aviation industry.
Students are additionally provided options for short-term credentials in the form of the certificate of technical studies (CTS) in the areas of Accounting Technology, Administrative Technology, Airframe Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Network Technology, Engineering (Dual-Enrollment), and Powerplant Maintenance Technology.
