Elementary Education Program Guide
Earning a degree in Elementary Education provides theoretical depth and practical experience combined with curriculum planning and classroom management skills. Our goal is to help you connect with students of various levels with different learning techniques and strategies. These teaching degree programs concept- and research-based, grounded in learning science, in a way to support you as you grow and develop a deeper understanding in elementary contexts. Concepts are introduced in the professional core course and then increase in complexity as you progress through the programs.
You will take seven professional core courses that will prepare you to handle unique educational situations and become a better teacher. These elementary education courses focus on a variety of important topics including social and emotional learning, and technology and diversity inclusion in the classroom. Plus, you’ll get to use augmented reality experiences for an opportunity to practice your work before entering the classroom. These seven professional core courses are also coupled with clinical experience to help ensure teachers are ready for their classroom.
Coursework is based on cutting-edge research in the field of education, including the Science of Learning, the Science of Reading, online and blended pedagogy, using innovative technologies like AI in education, competency-based education in P–12, and more. You’ll even earn a microcredential in Innovative Technology for Inclusive P–12 Classrooms through your studies.
