School Board
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Launceston has a School Advisory Board. All Catholic systemic schools in Tasmania have a Board of Governance.  Each Board comes under the governance of Systemic Governing Council.
The School Board provides advice and support to the Principal in the leadership and management of the school. The School Board has an executive compromising of a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
Our School Advisory Board has supported the school in planning and development of:
Continuing to maintain prudent financial management of our school
Memorandum of Understanding between the School, Parish and Catholic Care in relation to shared facilities and parking.
Developing a strategic approach to new workplace health and safety legislation
Redeveloping the oval by installing drainage and irrigation systems.
Developing a  Master Plan for Playground. The Master Plan has seen the establishment of the  Church and Music Playgrounds and  installation of an all-weather court.
Developing the entrance to our school.
Installing a Remembrance Garden
Installing a lift in Block E. This ensures that all buildings at Sacred Heart are now accessible to all members of the community.
Redevelopment of the current Art Room, to be renamed Multi-Purpose Room

We acknowledge with deep respect, the Palawa/Pakana people as the traditional owners of the land, sea, and waterways of Lutruwita (Tasmania) on which we work, rest and play. We pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging and recognise their continued care for land, waterways, and community.
