Your gift of
£500
could help to pay toward the curation and conservation of our collections, allowing new objects to be put on display in our historic room sets.
£1,000
could help towards the planting and care of new shrubs or trees in our Gardens Through Time.
£1,500
could help fund our exciting programmes of talks, workshops and Lates throughout the year offering something for everyone.
£2,500
could help to pay towards our learning programme, reaching thousands of local school children and families each year.
For over a hundred years Museum of the Home has been exploring the history of domestic life in our home in historic former almshouses.
Today we are a free museum and charity. Your support, large or small, plays a crucial role in revealing the history of the Home and rethinking how we can live better together.
Our period rooms show the experience of home over many centuries. Our Gardens Through Time show how the garden has been both a productive and beautiful part of the home and offers visitors a quiet space in a busy urban environment.
We share our collections through creative initiatives with schools, families and young people, and we encourage learning beyond the classroom through our programmes of events and workshops.
We work with artists and researchers to rethink home as not just a place, but a feeling. And we support new study that investigates the hidden social and political dimensions of domestic history.
