Welcome to National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), HAJIPUR
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur. Established in 2007 under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India. Our institute has remained in its mission to nurture excellence in pharmaceutical sciences to provide cutting-edge research, world-class training, and a spirit of entrepreneurship that prepares our students to lead the global pharmaceutical fraternity. We continue to produce industry-ready leaders in our core specializations admitted through NIPER JEE in the stream of Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis.
Our journey, which began under the mentorship of ICMR–RMRIMS, Patna, has reached a significant milestone as we operate from our dedicated campus. This transition symbolizes our growth into a self-reliant powerhouse of research and education. Our collective dedication to academic growth and innovation is reflected in our recent national rankings. I am incredibly proud to share that in the NIRF 2025 Rankings, NIPER Hajipur secured the 30th rank in the Pharmacy category. This represents a significant and consistent ascent—from 75
th
in 2022 to 44th in 2023 to 33rd in 2024, and now into the top 30. This achievement is dedicated to the tireless efforts of our faculty, staff, and students, and we remain committed to this upward path as we strive for international benchmarks.
We are establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Biological Therapeutics, focusing on affordable and accessible biologics, particularly antibodies and biosimilars, as supported by Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India under PRIP Scheme. Our research ecosystem is further strengthened by strategic collaborations, including a partnership with various top industries such as Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, USV, Granules India, and Gennova Bio-Pharma. etc. Various academic collaborations with institutions like AIIMS Patna IIT Patna, IGIMS, ICMR – RMRIMS Patna etc. we are addressing critical health challenges such as HIV, Tuberculosis, Cancer etc. which shows commitment to our Society.
The future of NIPER Hajipur is being built today. With a new 150-capacity girls’ hostel nearing completion and an Academic / Administrative Block and Auditorium under construction, we are expanding our horizons. Also, NIPER Hajipur expansion with support of Government of Bihar, for the allotment of the additional land which is under progress. This land will host a modern campus and an integrated Drug Testing Facility, positioned within a larger Pharma and Medical Devices to foster a true industry-academia ecosystem.
As we look ahead, NIPER Hajipur remains committed to pushing the boundaries of pharmaceutical science to ensure affordable, safe, and innovative healthcare solutions for all. As we move forward, we focus on nurturing professionals who are not only technically proficient but also ethically grounded.
