Winter Session
Thank you for your interest in Winter Session at SUNY Cortland.
Preliminary information is available for Winter Session 2027. Two terms are offered. Winter Session I is a 4-week term beginning Dec. 22, 2026 and Winter Session II is a 2-week term beginning Jan. 5, 2027. All courses end on Jan. 19, 2027.
Additional details will be provided in September 2026.

Winter Session I:
December 22, 2026 - January 19, 2027
Winter Session II:
January 5 - 19, 2027
Registration begins in late October 2026. Visit the

for specific dates and detailed information.
No class requirements or assignments should be due on Thursday, December 24, Friday, December 25, Thursday, December 31, Friday, January 1 or Monday, January 18 in observance of the Christmas, New Year and Martin Luther King, Jr. holidays respectively. Administrative offices are closed on these dates. The Winter Session 2027 Holiday Office Availability (available in Dec. 2026) will provide available hours for specific offices during the holiday break.
Tuition and Billing
Winter Session 2027 tuition and fee rates will be available via Student Accounts in Fall 2026.
Bills for Winter Session 2027 will be issued beginning in mid-November and will be due Friday, December 4.
All students are billed electronically. You can view and pay your tuition and fees online through myRedDragon.

Students who do not provide payment by the due date will be deregistered.
Course Schedule
Winter Session traditionally features a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, with several options for General Education, Foreign Language and Writing Intensive at the undergraduate level.

. Please note that courses are not guaranteed to run each year.
Students may register for a maximum of 5 credit hours during Winter Session.

Winter Session registration opens with the Spring 2027 time ticket and pin provided during advisement. Dates will be announced in Spring 2026.
