Key Tasks of the Alumni Office
Event Planning and Management
Plan and execute alumni-focused events, including networking sessions, workshops, and award ceremonies.
Coordinate with university departments to involve alumni in commencement ceremonies and special projects.
Career and Mentorship Services
Develop and manage mentorship programs connecting alumni with students or peers.
Provide career resources, such as job postings, career fairs, and workshops tailored to alumni needs.
Financial Support
Donations: Alumni can contribute to scholarships, infrastructure development, research programs, and other university initiatives.
Endowments: Establishing long-term funds to support specific projects, departments, or causes.
Fundraising Efforts: Participating in or leading campaigns to encourage other alumni and donors to give back.
Mentorship and Networking
Career Guidance: Alumni can mentor current students, sharing career advice, industry insights, and skills development.

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1968
“Har Gobind Khorana attended D.A.V. High School in Multan. He did his BSc from University of the Punjab in 1943.He obtained an M. Sc. Degree in 1945 again from the University of the Punjab. He shared the 1968 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Marshall W.”

“Abdus Salam scored the highest marks ever recorded for the Matriculation Examination at the University of the Punjab. He won a scholarship to Government College, University of the Punjab, and took his MA in 1946.Abdus Salam became head of the Mathematics Department of the Punjab University in 1952.The Nobel Prize in Physics 1979 was awarded jointly to Abdus Salam, Sheldon Lee Glashow, and Steven Weinberg.”
