Support for 90 days of paid leave (120 days for multiple births)
A postpartum period of at least 45 days (60 days in the case of multiple births) must be secured.
Calculation of leave period based on the expected date of delivery as stated in the medical certificate
Exceptions may be granted in special cases, such as concerns about premature birth.

Conditions for splitting usage
If a pregnant employee has a history of miscarriage or stillbirth
(However, miscarriages resulting from induced abortion other than those permitted under the Maternal and Child Health Act are excluded.)
If the pregnant employee is 40 years of age or older at the time of requesting maternity leave
In cases where a medical certificate from a medical institution stating a risk of miscarriage or stillbirth is submitted
Calculated based on calendar periods (holidays are included in the number of vacation days even when used in installments)
Exceptions may be granted in special cases, such as concerns about premature birth.
If childbirth occurs on a holiday without having used maternity leave, maternity leave is granted starting from the day following the delivery.
Even if the day following childbirth is a holiday, it is included in the maternity leave period.

Apply for leave through the portal in the same way as annual leave.

Q. By when must I apply for maternity leave?
If you are taking a long-term leave of three months or more, you must submit a leave request form at least three weeks in advance.
Q. I was diagnosed with a risk of miscarriage early in my pregnancy. Can I use maternity leave in advance?
If you are in the prenatal or postnatal risk group, you must use the total 90 days of leave in installments, but you must use them continuously for at least 45 days after the date of childbirth.
Example: 44 days before childbirth + 1 day after childbirth + 45 days after childbirth
