On behalf of Seattle Academy College Advising, hello 11th graders and families!
In 11th grade, students often face increased academic intensity while deepening their involvement in school activities. Fall is crucial for adjusting to teachers’ expectations and more advanced coursework.
Fall Events:
College Advising hosts an event for 11th grade parents, guardians and students to hear frequently asked questions about the process. Details are on the Seattle Academy calendar.
11th graders can take virtual practice SAT or ACT exams at home or an on-campus official PSAT. Beforehand we also offer a PSAT 101 overview program. Details are below.
College Advising also hosts events focused on college financing and standardized testing. Please see below.
College Representative Visits:
With teacher permission, 11th graders can attend fall visits by college representatives. These visits are advertised weekly via email to 11th graders and archived on the College Advising page (Seattle Academy sign-in required).
Individualized and Structured Advising:
College Advising at Seattle Academy ensures a highly individualized and structured approach to the college application process.
Starting officially in December of 11th grade, students and families partner with dedicated college advisors for personalized guidance.
11th and 12th grade families gain access to individualized MaiaLearning accounts.
