U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) established the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office to provide assistance and resources to victims and their families impacted by crimes linked to immigration.
VOICE Priorities
Prioritize victim/survivors and their families’ voices and experiences by integrating a victim-centered approach.
Increase the visibility of VOICE resources and services available for victims and their families.
Foster collaboration with diverse stakeholders to build support for victims and their families.
VOICE Supportive Services
VOICE provides services to victims impacted by all crimes linked to immigration.
DHS VINE Sign-Up
Perpetrators' custody status through
the automated (DHS–VINE) automated
alert system. Victims can receive notifications through email, text, and calls.
Releasable Immigration Case Information
VOICE helps victims access
information about perpetrators' criminal and
immigration history.
Victim Support
Victims have an
opportunity to submit a victim impact statement.
Social Services, Resources, and Educational Information Access
Victim liaison
refer victims to resources and services nationwide, and provide informational education, when appropriate.
