TDA Pays Solidarity Visit to Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alabar

Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, Professor Timothy Terseer Alabar
, following his recent appointment.

The delegation, led by its Chairman,
Mr. James M. Ikpaka
, described the appointment as historic and divinely inspired, particularly for the Sankera people.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Ikpaka noted that Professor Alabar's emergence marks the first time a son of Sankera has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Institution. He expressed appreciation to the
Executive Governor of Benue State, Reverend Father Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia
, for what he described as a demonstration of fairness, inclusiveness, and merit-based leadership. According to him, the appointment has further strengthened the people's sense of belonging and renewed their confidence in the State Government.
Also speaking, elder Statesman,
Senator Suemo Chia
, thanked God and the Governor for the appointment, describing it as well deserved. He called on Benue indigenes to rally support for the Vice-Chancellor to ensure a successful tenure and cautioned against divisive tendencies capable of undermining unity and progress within the Institution.
In her remarks, the
Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Priscilla Mwuese Utoo
, commended the association for the visit and appealed for sustained prayers and support for the Vice-Chancellor as he steers the affairs of the University.
Responding,
Professor Alabar
expressed gratitude to the association for the show of solidarity and goodwill. He called for continued prayers and cooperation, assuring the delegation of his commitment to providing purposeful leadership for the growth and development of the University.
