Frequently
asked
questions
We want to answer all of your questions. Please reach out to our housing department if you have anymore questions or concerns.
Who can apply for housing?
All students admitted to Southeastern College can apply for housing.
How do I request a certain roommate?
Once you start your housing application, you will see an option to “request roommate” in the Housing application. You can list up to 2 options for roommates. The housing director will consider roommate group options when making housing assignments.
How much does housing cost?
You can find the housing cost
here
Is housing guaranteed?
All residence hall space is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once full, the remaining students will be placed on a waitlist and notified if space becomes available.
I applied for admission to SBC. If I want to live on campus, do I have to fill out a housing application too?
Yes, the housing application is separate from the college’s admission application. Make sure to apply in a timely manner as housing assignments are based on application date.
When can I move in?
Move-in schedules will be provided with the student’s room assignment letter that is sent out through student email accounts. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early move-in requests.
How can I pay for my room and board?
Semester room and board charges will be added to your SBC Populi account and can be paid in your Student Dashboard.
Am I required to live on campus?
All incoming freshman are required to live on campus.
How do I cancel my housing?
You would need to reach out to acoats@southeasternbaptist.edu to request to cancel your housing. Please remember your application fee is non-refundable.
Do I have to move out all of my belongings when I leave for the holidays?
Housing will be closed during Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, and Spring Break. Students may leave their belongings in their room if they plan to return to campus – including returning for the spring semester after Christmas Break. Students should throw away perishable food items and take out their trash before leaving for breaks or other extended periods.
Are there beds in the rooms? Do I have to have to bring my own mattress?
All dorms are fully furnished. Each student will have a bed with a twin XL mattress, a desk with a desk chair, and a dresser.
Can I obtain exact measurements of my room or view my room in advance?
Unfortunately, no. Our rooms are occupied throughout the year and we are unable to show occupied rooms or take specific measurements. You will view your room during your specified move-in period and can take measurements at that time.
Can I have a pet?
No pets are allowed in residence halls.
