Helen Newberry Joy Hospital and Healthcare Center supports an Infection Prevention and Control Program designed to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors within its healthcare environment, and all off-campus sites, by reducing the risk of acquiring a healthcare-associated infection (HAI).
The process is based on published guidelines from professional societies, as well as guidance from healthcare accreditation organizations.
The Infection Prevention and Control program maintains a culture of safety that promotes zero tolerance for both the occurrence of preventable HAIs and for noncompliance with established infection prevention and control practices.
