Students' Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) and Ombudsperson
Introduction
In accordance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, as amended from time to time, Jaypee University, Anoopshahr, has constituted the Students' Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) to address and resolve grievances of students, both current and prospective.
This notification (No. 01/2024) supersedes all previous notifications/orders on this subject. The SGRC provides a structured platform for students to submit grievances and receive a fair and just response.
The committee will address complaints through a process grounded in the principles of natural justice, with recommendations submitted to the Vice-Chancellor and the aggrieved student.

Terms and Guidelines
The term of the Chairperson and members shall be for a period of two years.
The term of the special invitee shall be one year.
The quorum for the meeting, including the Chairperson (excluding the special invitee), shall be three.
The SGRC shall follow principles of natural justice when considering grievances.
Students can submit grievances directly to the Chairperson or online via the
Jaypee University Grievance Portal
.
The SGRC aims to provide a response within 15 working days of receiving the complaint.
Students who disagree with the SGRC's decision may appeal to the Ombudsperson within 15 days.
Ombudsperson
In line with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, Jaypee University, Anoopshahr, has appointed an Ombudsperson to handle appeals against the decisions of the Students' Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC).

Any student who is dissatisfied with the decision of the SGRC may appeal to the Ombudsperson within fifteen days from the date of receiving the SGRC’s decision.
The Ombudsperson shall carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, as amended from time to time.
Roles and Responsibilities
The SGRC and the Ombudsperson shall perform their functions in compliance with the UGC regulations to ensure that student grievances are addressed effectively. Full cooperation from all stakeholders is requested in fulfilling these responsibilities.
