A Friendly, Family Atmosphere
Kingham Hill has
seven boarding houses
, each with its own distinct character and atmosphere, where pupils are treated as a part of a large, extended family. Every House is supported by a dedicated team of experienced Houseparents, Pastoral Assistants, and Matrons, who provide care and guidance around the clock.
The Houses are designed for comfort and community, featuring spacious bedrooms, study areas, common rooms, and recreational facilities where pupils can relax and unwind after a busy school day. Accommodation ranges from dormitories housing four to eight pupils, to single rooms for older pupils.
Our vibrant boarding community brings together pupils from across the UK, including HM Forces families, alongside children from the US and other international backgrounds, creating a rich and diverse environment for learning, friendship, and personal growth.
Flexi, Weekly and Full Boarding
Boarding at Kingham Hill is an experience that fosters a sense of independence, resilience, and community with flexible boarding options to suit the needs of each and every child, including full, weekly and flexi boarding.
Full-time boarders enjoy a home-away-from-home experience, living in a safe and supportive environment where they can focus on their studies and enjoy the raft of extracurricular activities available to them throughout the week and at weekends. Weekly boarders enjoy the same, returning home at the weekends, while flexi-boarders have the flexibility to choose when they stay in the boarding house.
An Enriching Experience
Boarding at Kingham Hill offers pupils a wealth of opportunities to develop their interests and talents outside the classroom with a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, drama, and outdoor pursuits. Pupils can also take part in a variety of clubs and societies, such as debating, chess, and swimming.
The sense of community at Kingham Hill is what makes the school, and boarding in particular, so special, with pupils from different backgrounds and cultures coming together to form friendships which continue long after they leave.
