Degree apprenticeships are an alternative to traditional university study that are becoming increasingly popular. They are work-based training schemes. You will gain real world workplace experience and earn a salary, while simultaneously working towards a degree qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Facts about Degree Apprenticeships
Eligibility Age: Must be 16 years or older. We offer higher and degree apprenticeships.
Programme Duration: A full degree apprenticeship at UWTSD typically lasts 4 years. However, relevant experience and qualifications may allow for adjustments to your programme duration.
Funding Information: Apprenticeship programmes are funded by the English and Welsh governments. Eligibility criteria may vary depending on your location of employment.
Employment Requirement: Apprentices must be employed in a role related to their chosen programme of study.
Employment and Study Requirements: You must be eligible to work in the UK and have a relevant employment contract. Apprentices are entitled to a salary, statutory holidays, and paid study time. Eight hours of your usual working week will be allocated for
Self-Employment and Part-Time Work: Self-employed individuals may also be eligible. Please contact us to discuss your situation. For part-time employees working 16 hours a week, one of your days (8 hours) should be dedicated to study.
