Practical Training of Indian Students in a Real Patient Setting
At the Berehove campus of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Zakarpattia, intensive clinical training for fourth- and fifth-year students from India is ongoing. Students are currently completing a course in Internal Medicine that combines clinical theory with hands-on skill development at the patient’s bedside.

Dr Magnus Hamann, PhD, qualitative researcher in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford, UK.
In this session, you will learn:
• Why motivation is not a constant state, but context-dependent
• How behaviours often labelled as “incompetent” follow systematic interactional patterns rather than occurring randomly
In the final part of the session, Dr Hamann will share reflections from healthcare professionals who worked closely with the patient, discussing how these insights informed changes in their clinical approaches.

Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University is consistently developing its own scientific publishing program, strengthening its position in the international academic community. An important component of this activity is the operation of the university’s scientific journals, which provide a high-quality platform for publishing research results in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and related biomedical sciences.
High-Quality Training of International Pharmacy Students at ZSMPhU’s Berehove Campus in Zakarpattia
Fifth-year students from Bulgaria, studying at the International Faculty on the campus of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University in the city of Berehove in Zakarpattia, successfully combine their academic studies with industrial training, which represents a key stage in their professional development. At this stage, theoretical knowledge is integrated with real working conditions in pharmacies, serving as practical training bases.
Telemedicine: International Cooperation
As part of the ongoing cooperation with the international humanitarian organization "Medicos del Mundo," Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University was visited by project coordinator Louise Henry (Switzerland), field coordinator Serhii Perunov, and healthcare manager Anastasiia Sakun. Particular attention was paid during the visit to the implementation of modern digital technologies and the practical application of telemedicine solutions in the training of medical specialists and the provision of medical care services.
“Zaporizhzhia Medical Journal” is indexed in Scopus!
This is outstanding news for the entire academic community of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University — the scientific and practical publication “Zaporizhzhia Medical Journal” has successfully completed a rigorous evaluation process and has been indexed in one of the world’s leading scientometric databases, Scopus.
