Lifting Outcomes, Together
Founded in 1989 by parents seeking a better option for students who learn differently, Beacon College was the first in the nation accredited to award bachelor’s degrees exclusively to students with learning disabilities and ADHD. The College has grown significantly over the years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is its commitment to student success. Beacon continues to add research-based programming designed to support students who learn differently on their journey to college and beyond. Since 2018, we have supported more than 2,000 students and families on their journey to colleges nationwide.
As part of this continued mission, we have expanded to offer partnerships and programming to like-minded schools and organizations that support students and families. We have developed a number of custom partnerships for high schools across the country looking to improve college placements and outcomes, for education consultants and organizations that want to enhance their programming for clients, and for colleges seeking to improve first-year freshman outcomes.

Featured Partnership
Oak Hill Academy in Dallas, Texas, has engaged Beacon College to strengthen their high school curriculum and further prepare Oak Hill Academy students for life after high school. In addition, a Beacon instructor teaches “Self Discovery” to the junior and senior students two days a week on-site at the Oak Hill Academy campus. This proprietary Beacon course is designed to strengthen skills for postsecondary success and build student awareness to options and life after high school.
Beacon College has truly been that; a beacon to our students, family, and staff. Their expertise in the transition skills arena has bolstered our high school curriculum in a way that will help our students prepare for their next stage of life. In addition, their depth of knowledge in our student population has allowed us to take a deep dive into our structures and systems, so our faculty and staff can serve both students and families in a more comprehensive manner.
